Over the past two years, we’ve played a leading role in CityVerve, working with a range of public and private sector partners and real-world experts to pioneer new technology to redefine ‘smart’ in the context of a living, working city. Together we’re building a smarter, more connected Manchester, creating a city that uses technology to meet the complex needs of its people. The programme is broad in its scope, sponsoring new businesses and creating new jobs, delivering better healthcare and transport, safer streets and more engaged and empowered citizens.
As our new Head of ICT Service Operations, you will play an important part in delivering the Council’s contribution to Manchester’s Smart City journey and our own ambitions for an all-encompassing ICT and digital service, helping us to maximise our performance by becoming more agile and confident in our decision making whilst providing an exemplary user experience.
You’ll be joining us at a key delivery stage, ensuring that we are able to support the Council through the provision of the right technology, infrastructure, platforms and services to realise our ambitious plans for the City of Manchester.
